Disconnect Gmail from ClarityTrack
To disconnect Gmail from ClarityTrack, open Settings, scroll to Email Connections, find the connected account, and click Disconnect. The OAuth token is revoked at Google, and ClarityTrack stops reading from that mailbox immediately.
How to do it
- Sign in to ClarityTrack.
- Open Settings from the Dashboard header.
- Scroll to Email Connections.
- Find the Gmail account you want to disconnect.
- Click Disconnect.
- Confirm.
What happens after you disconnect
- ClarityTrack stops scanning the disconnected Gmail account immediately.
- The OAuth token is revoked at Google.
- Previously ingested emails stay in your ClarityTrack account (they are not deleted from the local database) but no new emails are pulled.
- You can reconnect the same Gmail account later if you want; the connection starts fresh.
Common questions
Does this disconnect anything else?
No. Gmail disconnection only affects email ingestion. Your Plaid bank connections, debts, transactions, journal entries, and everything else stay untouched.
Can I also revoke access from Google's side?
Yes. Open myaccount.google.com, go to Security, scroll to "Third-party apps with account access," find ClarityTrack, and remove it. ClarityTrack disconnect does the same thing automatically, but doing it from Google is a fine backup if you want absolute certainty.
What about the emails that were already ingested?
They stay in your ClarityTrack account as journal-like records of the financial data extracted from them. To delete those records, use the Email Connections section to clear ingested messages, or delete your whole account if you want a fresh start.
