Delete a spending budget

You can remove a monthly spending budget at any time. Deleting a budget does not affect your transaction data or spending history — it only removes the cap and alert for that category.

How to do it

Ask Clarity:

"Delete my grocery budget." "Remove my dining spending limit." "Clear my travel budget."

Clarity will confirm what it is about to delete and ask you to confirm before removing it.

Common questions

Can I pause a budget instead of deleting it?

Not currently. To temporarily stop tracking a category, delete the budget and recreate it later. Your historical spending data is preserved either way.

What if I set a new budget for the same category later?

Just set it again. Budgets are created per category, and a new one will start tracking from the current month automatically.
