Get an AI spending forecast
Clarity can predict how much you are likely to spend next month in each category, based on the last 3 months of your actual bank transactions. This is a personalised forecast — not generic industry averages.
How to do it
Ask Clarity:
"What will I spend next month?" "Forecast my spending for July." "Predict my expenses next month." "How much am I likely to spend on groceries next month?"
What you get
Clarity returns a category-by-category breakdown of predicted spend, with:
- Estimated amount per category
- Trend direction (rising, stable, or falling vs prior months)
- Total predicted spend
- Comparison to your set budgets (if any)
How the forecast works
Clarity analyses your last 90 days of Plaid transactions, identifies seasonal patterns and trends in each spending category, and projects forward. The forecast adjusts for months that typically run higher (holidays, travel seasons) where the pattern is visible in your history.
Common questions
How accurate is the forecast?
The forecast is a projection based on your recent history. Unusual one-off expenses (a home repair, a holiday) can skew the result. The more transaction history you have in ClarityTrack, the more reliable the forecast becomes.
Do I need a bank account connected for this?
Yes. The forecast is based on your Plaid transaction data. Without a connected bank account, Clarity cannot generate a personalised forecast.
Can I set a budget based on the forecast?
Yes. After seeing the forecast, ask Clarity to set a budget for any category: "Set my grocery budget to the forecasted amount."
