Common questions
Why does my Plaid bank account not show transactions?
Two common reasons:
- The bank connection is new and is still in the first sync (usually finishes within a few minutes). Wait and refresh.
- The Plaid connection expired. Check the Banks tab for a Reconnect badge.
How do I categorize a transaction differently from what Plaid suggested?
Open the transaction detail and update the category. Your override stays in place for that transaction. ClarityTrack also remembers similar transactions from the same merchant going forward.
Can I ask Clarity about my transactions?
Yes. Ask things like "what did I spend at Amazon last month?" or "how much did I spend on groceries this week?" Clarity reads from the same transaction data.
What is a context tag?
Context lets you split a single bank account across multiple business or personal entities. Useful if you run a consulting business out of the same checking account as your personal spending. Set up contexts from the Banks tab using the per-account context picker.
