Update your payment method

To update the card on file, open Settings, then the Subscription section, then click Manage billing. In the billing portal, click Add payment method or Update card, enter the new card, and set it as default.

How to do it

  1. Sign in to ClarityTrack.
  2. Open Settings from the Dashboard header.
  3. Click Manage billing in the Subscription section.
  4. In the billing portal, find the Payment methods section.
  5. Click Add payment method, enter the new card details, and save.
  6. Set the new card as the default payment method.
  7. Optionally remove the old card if it is no longer in use.

Common questions

My card expired and the payment failed. What now?

Update the card following the steps above. If your subscription went into a Past due state, the billing portal will automatically retry the payment within 24 hours of the new card being saved. Access is restored as soon as the retry succeeds.

Can I use a different card for renewals than for one-off charges?

Stripe always uses the default payment method for recurring charges. You can add multiple cards, but only the default is used for the subscription. Set whichever card you want to be primary as the default.

Is my card stored on ClarityTrack's servers?

No. Card details live entirely on Stripe's servers. ClarityTrack only sees a customer identifier and the last 4 digits.
